Winter Perspectives 2008

Hope all is well. I am pleased to announce the release of the Technolink Association's Winter Perspectives. This quarter's focus is on innovation and ingenuity with a special perspective on the Auto Industry from The Honorable John Campbell.

As many of us are preparing for the oliday and New Year Season, let us take a moment to reflect upon the many "linkages" and sharing of resources that we developed at our Technolink Gatherings this past year.

We met at Jet Propulsion Laboratory in March to talk about "The Crossroads of Homeland Security and Environmental Technologies". We heard from featured visionaries as: Matthew Bettenhausen, Director of the California Office of Homeland Security, Timothy Vinopal, Chief Engineer Environmental, Health and Safety Support, The Boeing Company, and Dr. Paul Dimotakis, Chief Technologist of Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Professor of Aeronautics and Professor of Applied Physics at Caltech.

This fall we expanded our discussion to "The Crossroads of Politics:  The Technology Revolution and Global Uncertainties"... and learned the insights of featured visionaries: Dr. Allen Adler, Director of Strategic Projects and Analysis for Phantom Works for The Boeing Company, Matthew R. Bettenhausen, Director of the California Office of Homeland Security, Alex Suh, Founding Managing Director of the California Technology Ventures, LLC, Dr. Bill Tomlinson, Professor of Informatics at the University of California, Irvine, Lieutenant Commander Arthur Wills, United States Navy, and Executive Officer for SEAL Team TWO. 

While hearing updated perspectives and insights from Lisa Kalustian is Chief Deputy Director for the Los Angeles Office of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chris Palmer and Chris Bognanno, Representatives of The Office of Congressman John Campbell with special space reports from Lt. General Eugene “Gene” Tattini, Deputy Director of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

We have had a wonderful year of great celebrations for many of our members including Billy Robbins, President of The Technolink Association celebrating his 50th year of practicing law, and the Dr. Bill Tomlinson Wedding in November.
